There also is the issue of default route. if you are using slirp or ppp it is
important that you have your default route set to the machine that you are
dialing in to. Usually I use chat or dip to dial in a ppp connection because
you have more control and vision of what is actually going on. I believe ( but
am not sure ) that KDE's PPP dialer allows you to set the default route on dial
in also.
