[PLUG] Resnet (ADSL) problems

I've had much trouble w/ the ADSL resnet connection in the past

I'm not sure what you mean by the synchronization light
If you are talking about the third light from the left, that is the Loop
Status light.
- If it's orange, that means that the network
equipment on the otherside of the line (that is the in the
Telecommunications office) is in the process of sync'ing w/ your modem 
(For me this happens like 20 times a day for ~ 5 seconds - (BTW, used to
be a lot worse, but PUCC/telco got things working smoother over the
summer))
- If it's red, that means your modem is not getting any
signal from the network equipment in the telco office.

The loop status light has nothing to do w/ your ethernet card

The farthest right light is the ethernet link status. If this is not
green, then the modem is not detecting a connection with your ethernet
card.
