Fred:
	Thanks for your answer.

So basically, my problem is: it's OK in the quality of
bandwidth (say, 1M bps downlink bandwidth is enough for downloading
files), but it's not OK in the quality of delay in real-time
interactive applications, as for Telnet, the delay variance is
large sometimes which make the Telnet session blocks a short while
here and there, very annoying:(

Yes, I mean the 3rd light from left in 1M modem. It seems
the light often turns to yellow in the evening. But now, after midnight,
it looks better.

Really? The "Loop-back" light turns to orange nearly 20 times
an hour in the worst case I met :(

Originally, I suspected that my 10M/100M CNet 120Pro ethernet
card couldnt auto-sense the media speed correctly, some guys also
posted in early articles to say "use ifconfig to manully configure
the rate of ethernet card to 10Mbps". I'm not sure whether the 10M
ethernet card can synchronize with 1M/128K modem smoothly in theory.
