OK I have a problem... I am a relitively new user so please feel free to
question if I have tried the obvious. I just finished an install of RH
6.0 on my Toshiba Satellite (laptop). I realize that this is not a
recomended activity (installing on a laptop) for a Linux initiate, but it
is my only system right now (long story). Anyways the botom line is that
linux is not responging to my keystrokes. As in I can't type "root" to log
in. However LILO takes my keystrokes just fine, so I can boot to winblows
and e-mail the plug list for help. The realy strange part is that if I
stick a keyboard in the PS2 port then the laptop's built in keyboard will
miraculously begin functioning while the PS2 keyboard remains useless. I
searched the linux laptops page, but did not find anything that looked like
my problem. If anyone knows how I might remedy this problem (other than
running around with a PS2 keyboard hanging off my machine) I would greatly
appreciate any suguestinons. Many thanks for your time.
Respectfully Submited,
