check /etc/ppp/resolv newer version of pppd keep copies of the resolvers

But for some reason every time I dial out, the old DNS overwrites the new one. This slows everything down because every time I go to a site it tries the dead DNS entry first. Even if I change resolv.conf, the change is applied. I use the Linuxconf scripts to dial-out, so it must be putting it in there for some reason. Anybody know anything?
