I received this email about Krannert selling off a bunch of computers.

The Krannert Computing Center is cleaning house and selling older
hardware.  You may want to let the PLUG folks (and others) know, as many
of these systems would be ideal for playing around with linux and/or
networking.  Pentium 200's w/ 32 MB memory & 2 GB hard drives for $175,
15" monitors for $35.

Subject: KCC Salvage Sale

Read this carefully if interested.

KCC is having is 1st of 2 Salvage Sales for fall.  Sales includes older
computer and peripherals not up to our current support standards.  Sale
is
scheduled to last till sometime next week.

The following Excel sheet has details about what is currently
available.  If
it is not on the list, it is not available!

Notes section listed common specs, but they may vary slightly by
computer
and should they fall short, prices would be adjusted.

5% sales tax to be included in total.

Payment accepted is cash or check from Krannert faculty/staff, cash only
from anyone else. No Purdue/star account purchases.

First-come, First-serve.  We will answer requests for computers and
peripherals in the order they are received. REQUESTS BY EMAIL ONLY!!!!  
Scenario 1: You want desktop complete system.  You email me, I let you
know
if it is still available and answer any questions you might have. Then
we
will set it up with base OS and do some paperwork.  I let you know when
you
can pick it up and the total $$$. Then you come inspect it/get it/we
take it
down to loading docks to help you put it in car and you pay :)
Scenario 2: You want a monitor.  You email me.  I do paperwork and let
you
know you can come pick it up/inspect it, probably ASAP.

No warranties, no support, you can inspect when you pay. Computers will
come
with Base OS if available.(Win 95 for most)

and we
don't have list for it yet.
