Diego Zamboni wanted me to send this out to everyone. I decided to
inlcude CSociety and ACM as well, as this will interest both of those
groups.
Here follow Diego's announcement:
Purdue.pm is the Purdue chapter of Perl Mongers, a group that among
other things, keeps a registry and provides services for Perl user
groups around the world.
Purdue.pm has existed for some time, but it has been dormant. A few
weeks ago, at the Perl Conference 4.0 in Monterey, I registered as the
new point of contact for Purdue.pm, with the intention of revitalizing
this group.
It is my experience that there are a lot of Perl users at Purdue, and
having an organized user group could help these people to get together,
share ideas, share knowledge, or just have a good time.
The precise agenda for Purdue.pm is yet undefined, but I am sure
that with participation of people from PLUG, CSociety, WDO and other
computer-related organizations, we can start a very interesting group.
You can get more information about Perl Mongers at http://www.pm.org/.
This will briefly (15 minutes) take place in Physics 112 at 6:45PM.
Following Diego's announcement, the PLUG meeting will begin.
Thanks,
-Chris
