[PLUG] what is locate.alias ??

[vidyut.a.samanta.1]

PUCC started this new thing about synchonising everyones expert, mentor
and @purdue logins. I got mine synchronized last week and ever since then
I get many errors while using xapplications. When I try to run emacs I
get the following error.

~>emacs
Opening input file: no such file or directory,/usr/openwin/lib/locale/locale.alias
~>

I dont know what locate.alias is I tried to view the file but it doesn't
exist. Any idea as to how I can fix this.
