[PLUG] Connectivity problem

Recently, I've been having a problem with MASQed clients.  Here's the
setup:

I have a cable modem with static IP connected to a RH6.0 box with IP
masquerading for a few windows clients in my apartment.  
Anyway, one of my roommates has trouble connecting to a specific
Asheron's Call
server from a MASQed client.  The odd thing is that the problem is
intermittent, but
definitely on our end.  The RH6.0 box is dual boot, and everything works
fine in that other OS.  Of course, if I could fix this problem we could
make it a purely Linux box.

Things I've checked or noticed:
- Kernel is 2.2.5-15 so Loose Gamer's patch should be included
- Masq apps page says AC should work on MASQed boxes with my setup
- Standard rc.firewall script (straight from the HOW-TO)
- Asheron's Call uses UDP ports in the range 9000-9016


Note:  Also had a similar problem connecting to postoffice.purdue.edu
where
       I couldn't even get a traceroute back to postoffice.  This
problem
       went away when we all turned of automatic mail checking in our
clients.

Anybody have an idea on this one?  I'm stumped.
