[PLUG] Installfest: a retrospective

I think it went well. But we failed to do some things that we should
have done. We didn't paper the town or the campus. We didn't get media
attention, even campus media attention. We didn't get industry
support. This means that we have to start planning earlier.
Also, there are pros and cons about the room choice:
Pros -
* IP, DHCP in room
* Plenty of space
* Good power, at least under the load we gave it
* Cheaper than off-campus space
Cons -
* Far from parking
* Hard to load stuff there
* It was actually wrong of us to have non-union food there,
and union pizza is not good
* More expensive than if we could grab a classroom
So, we should decide, and decide soon, when the next one will be, and
where it will be. We should then begin to beg^Wpetition people for
swag, nice and early. We should also get everything prepared nice and
early, so there's not the "Did we get this paperwork in?" "I can't pay
for this! Help!!!" Sort of thing going on, as happened this time.
So, as Grand Poobah for this installfest, I think we should railroad a
new Grand Poobah real soon now for another fest this semester, if we
are to have another this semester. We should also have one, starting
less soon now, for the first one next semester.
Which leaves us the question, "should we have another installfest this
semester?"
