Originally CSociety was interested in doing a alumni.purdue.edu
project.  They said it was ok to open this up to the Purdue Linux
Users Group.  (I try to be careful to not step on any toes since I am
staff advisor for both.)

Are people interested in working on this project?

Csociety,

I talked with Mark Wright, business manager of the Purdue Alumni
Association, earlier today.  (So we all stay organized please don't
contact him directly regarding this for now.)

In the past I sent him email about Csociety may be interested in doing
an alumni.purdue.edu email forwarding, web, etc. project.

For right now, they are only interested in having a place local alumni
clubs can put their web pages and making a home page that points to
all the local alumni clubs (there are around 125 of them).  They also
want a template for a local alumni club so it would be easy for them
to make a web page.  I understand the routine HTML coding will be
the responsibility of the local club.

I understand that the Alumni Association is looking for non-Purdue
hosting because they understood the university doesn't want them on
their network.

This project might be expanded to include an email forwarding project
and other things later.  Absolutely no committment on their part has
been made regarding that.  I also understand the Alumni Association is
checking into other alternatives besides having CSociety do the project.

Are people interested in working on this project?  The Alumni
Association would like the hosting issue, HTML template, home page,
procedure for local clubs to update their home page, etc. to be setup
by the end of April.
