Two reasons I can think of. First, Sendmail comes as default on
the distros I've seen, and people are not often interested in change.
Second, the author of qmail has been known to kibo netnews for
references to qmail and drop into pseudo-Serdar behavior defending
qmail. While everything I've heard about qmail says it is a quality
product, it is enough to make me think postfix as my mailer daemon
solution should I go hardcore into it.
