you could set up a box in your dorm, or at home for that matter, for
dial-up and then call it with your linux box.

if you want the national ones prominent for windows some will work in
linux with the same username/password if they are straight ppp
connects. others you just need to trap whats being sent between you and
them in the beginning. write a chat script that sends the same info.
