[PLUG] Need some FreeBSD help

Hey FreeBSD guys (I know you're out there!)
DO you know of any way to have the system boot from a software RAID? All
the docs I've seen tell me it can't be done. I've got 2 40GB disks that
I'd like to mirror completely. 
If it can't, would it be possible to boot up from a non-mirrored partiton,
then somehow magically chroot(8) the whole fmeppy system to the mirrored
partition?

Need answers soon, please.
