Dear PLUG Members,

        I have decided to resign my position as Vice President of
PLUG.  I have decided to do this after taking a step back and
evaluating my current
responsibilities.  Looking at this I have realized that I do not have
the
time to devote to PLUG.  Because I am unable to execute my office as
needed
for the PLUG members I discussed with Chris that I would like to step
down.
Effective October 30th, I will no longer be the Vice President of
PLUG.  Elections will be held for a replacement.  Thank you for the
opportunity to serve as Vice President of PLUG.  I hope in the future
time
will allow me to become an active member again.

What this means is that PLUG is now going to be looking for a new VP. 
Vice President duties are the following:

- In charge of corporate relations
- Help in scheduling events
- Help with promoting and maintaining a list of SIGs
- Other nifty stuff

Basically I need someone to be my third hand.  I can't do everything
and our officer staff is busy as well with other PLUG related things. 
We need someone who is a good talker, someone who knows PLUG's goals
and will promote them, and someone who can work well on a team with
the other officers.

Elections for a new Vice President will be help Monday, October 30th,
2000, in Physics 112.  

Nominations need to be emailed to me by 11:59pm Friday, October 27th,
2000 (sounds like a CS project huh?)  You must have in the subject
field "PLUG Vice President Nomination".  You can nominate yourself or
someone else.  If you nominate someone else, please CC them on the
email.  If you don't, I will contact them anyway.  A list of nominees
will go out Saturday and nominees will need to come to the PLUG
meeting on Monday the 30th.  If are a nominee and cannot attend on the
30th, you need to write a paragraph on why you want to be Vice
President.  PLUG members cannot vote if they don't know who someone is
or what they are capable of.  Voting is limited to dues paying members
only.  If you want to pay your dues, send email to Sean Richards at
seangr@purdue.edu.  

Again, all nominations will go to me with the above subject.

I would like to publicly thank Adam for the time that he has been able
to put into PLUG.  He helped us to get some old computers donated to
us.  These computers will be used when we get space.
