When I was using at home back in West Lafayette, I had my Linux box using
the service days before they could get the stupid Windoze crap
working. All I did was use Linuxconf to fill in the DNS IP, and gave my
machine the name and IP provided by @Home. Some how they had bungled my
account (several times) so that Win98 couldn't talk to their DHCP server,
but Linux had no problems.

When I was running, I had my Linux box as my firewall and all my other
machines used it as the gateway as was suggested earlier. This is
probably the easiest wasy to set up if you have a couple NICs in your
Linux box. Good Luck!
