[PLUG] BSD and LILO and Problems

There exists an ix86 machine that was once running Linux and is now running
OpenBSD.  The BSD install seems to be in working order, except for one
thing.  LILO is still sitting happily on the MBR of the zeroith scssi disk.
 I read up on installboot but whatever I am doing is wrong.  Is installboot
even the right thing to be doing?  So should I do something interesting to
get LILO to point to the BSD kernel or how can I get BSD's native
bootloader to work?
