I've got a 5-port 10/100 and 2 50-ft cat5 cables that can be loaned for
the event (as well as an extra shorter cable but anyway).

Auditoriums have better vocal reach.  I'd really prefer to do it in a
fairly large space... last time when we did it in MSEE (239?) it was
*SO* crowded.
