[PLUG] detect bad memory

if I remember how this utility works, it makes a boot disk and runs some
memory tests.  If you think you have a single stick that is bad, then make
it the only one in the system.

you should really turn off all caches before using it though.

if you have a couple of sticks, run the tests to see if any of it
fails...and if so, go through it one at a time.  (you can't always tell
what dimm/stick is the bad one just by the address)
