Being the owner of an ATI AIW Rage128 Pro 32MB (non-RADEON), I
must advise you to upgrade to X 4.1.0, as you will then only need
to download+install the modules from the URL Chris gave you.
Otherwise, you have to apply a patch and recompile X.  :-(
TV works pretty well with 4.1.0 on my FreeBSD box, although I
sure wish it supported closed captions so I didn't have to watch
on the regular TV in my room...
