[PLUG] AIM issues

I use AOL's AIM client and lately it has started making all the
backgrounds black, thereby making text unable to be seen without them
changing their background colors for me. When I change my bakground color
it doesn't fix anything, my text is still black on black. It wasn't doing
this before, and I was wondering if anyone knows why. I note I want to
know if anyone knows why, not what client I *should* use.
