Fall Installfest '01 is still fresh in everyone's mind, but PLUG is now
turning it's attention to a project that will make Installfest look like the
logistical equivalent of child's play.

Quakefest '02

Yep, PLUG is putting together the once-and-future definitive gaming event at
Purdue with a little help from our friends (ACM and PUGG). And we need all
the help we can get. If you've ever wanted to get involved with PLUG but
weren't sure how, this is your chance. Opportunities are available for those
who just want to help out the day of the event as well as those looking to
make a lasting impact on the future of PLUG. Volunteers need not be PLUG
members or even be associated with PLUG before this, so feel free to invite
friends to help out and forward this message to those you think might be
interested.

How to get involved:

1.) Join the Quakefest mailing list. The Quakefest list is going to be
primary communication medium for those involved in the planning and
execution of Quakefest. List signup info is at:
http://plug.purdue.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-quakefest

2.) Watch the list and PLUG calendar for organizational meetings.
3.) Start thinking of ways to make Quakefest '02 a success and start posting
them to the Quakefest list.
4.) If you're interested in a leadership position in the organization of the
event, get in contact with the PLUG officers at
plug-officers@plug.purdue.org

With enough involvement, I know PLUG, ACM, and PUGG can set the standard for
what student organizations can accomplish with and for the geek community at
Purdue.

Sincerely,

Alex
