[PLUG] Help with My Original All in Wonder/Tuxracer

Under Win9x, tuxracer runs great on my machine with original AIW/32MB/AGP.
Under Linux, however, it's incredibly sluggish.
glxinfo shows that I've got hardware acceleration running.
Has anyone else had better luck?
