Whoa, wait you said 8.1 RC1.  Is this on csociety-ftp?  I didn't see it.
Argh, looks like it will be another one of those "my os works fine, but I'm
going to reinstall it anyways" nights.

Mandrake 8.1 RC 1 is out -- despite some installation problems, I was
able to get it up and running. For the very first time, my wireless
ethernet card's working in Linux! I'm typing this in on a GNU/Linux box!
Woo-hoo!

Ahem. I've also noticed some major speed differences around campus. BTW,
Easy CD Creator is installed on the PCs with CD burners, but it works
fine with ISO images.

Did I mention 8.1 rocks? It's soooo much better than 8.0 (which, in my
book, didn't match 7.1/7.2), although it lacks XWPE (a quick download in
any case).
