[PLUG] "Gender" issues

Please, can we keep this kind of "this sucks, but this other thing is
great..." posts off the list? If you're not going to give specific and well
though out reasons why one thing is better, then I don't see how it raises
the level of discussion in any meaningful respect. I really don't care what
the topic is on the list, so long as the discussion remains intelligent and
well informed. When it devolves into "well, xyz evidently sucks..." then I
start having problems.
